A similar report was narrated from the Prophet ﷺ, and in his version he said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ paid the blood-money from his own funds. He did not include the words "a she-camel kicked me" in his version.
و حدثنا القواريري حدثنا بشر بن المفضل حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن بشير بن يسار
عن النبي ﷺ نحوه وقال في حديثه فعقله رسول الله ﷺ من عنده ولم يقل في حديثه فركضتني ناقة
