The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A slave who is upright has two rewards."Abu Hurairah then said, "By the One in whose hand is Abu Hurairah's soul, were it not for jihad in the path of Allah, Hajj, and kindness to my mother, I would love to die while still a slave."The narrator said, "We were told that Abu Hurairah did not perform Hajj until his mother died, because he stayed at her side."Abu Tahir said that in his version the wording is "a slave who is upright," without mentioning that he is owned, and he did not include "we were told" or what follows it.
