My father gave me a gift, then brought me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to have him witness it.The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Have you given each of your children the same as you have given this one?"He replied, "No."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you not wish from them the same devotion that you wish from this one?"He answered, "Of course."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then I will not bear witness to it."Ibn Awn said, "I related this to Muhammad, and he said, 'What we were told is that he said, Treat your children equally.'"

نحلني أبي نحلا ثم أتى بي إلى رسول الله ﷺ ليشهده فقال أكل ولدك أعطيته هذا قال لا قال أليس تريد منهم البر مثل ما تريد من ذا قال بلى قال فإني لا أشهد قال ابن عون فحدثت به محمدا فقال إنما تحدثنا أنه قال قاربوا بين أولادكم
