Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

We were returning from Mecca to Medina with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when my camel grew weak. He recounted the story, in which he said:Then the Prophet ﷺ said to me, "Sell me this camel of yours."I said, "No, it is yours."He said, "No, sell it to me."I said, "No, it is yours, Messenger of Allah."He said, "No, sell it to me."I said, "A man owes me an ounce of gold, so the camel is yours for that amount."He said, "I accept. Use it to reach Medina."When I arrived in Medina, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Bilal, "Give him an ounce of gold and add more for him."So Bilal gave me an ounce of gold and added a qirat extra.I said to myself, "The extra given by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ shall never leave me."I kept it in a pouch of mine, but the people of Sham took it from me on the day of al-Harrah.

حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا جرير عن الأعمش عن سالم بن أبي الجعد

عن جابر قال

أقبلنا من مكة إلى المدينة مع رسول الله ﷺ فاعتل جملي وساق الحديث بقصته وفيه ثم قال لي بعني جملك هذا قال قلت لا بل هو لك قال لا بل بعنيه قال قلت لا بل هو لك يا رسول الله قال لا بل بعنيه قال قلت فإن لرجل علي أوقية ذهب فهو لك بها قال قد أخذته فتبلغ عليه إلى المدينة قال فلما قدمت المدينة قال رسول الله ﷺ لبلال أعطه أوقية من ذهب وزده قال فأعطاني أوقية من ذهب وزادني قيراطا قال فقلت لا تفارقني زيادة رسول الله ﷺ قال فكان في كيس لي فأخذه أهل الشام يوم الحرة
