Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

We used to be given a ration of mixed dates, called tamr al-jam, during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, which was a blend of different kinds of dates. We would sell two measures of it for one measure. Word of this reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Not two measures of dates for one measure, nor two measures of wheat for one measure, nor one dirham for two dirhams."
