Allah will bring forth one of His servants to whom He had granted wealth, and He will ask him, "What did you do in the world?" And they will not conceal from Allah any statement. The servant will reply, "My Lord, You gave me Your wealth, and I used to engage in transactions with people. It was part of my character to be lenient, so I would make things easy for the one who could afford to pay and grant respite to the one in difficulty."Allah will say, "I am more deserving of this than you. Pardon My servant."Uqba bin Amir al-Juhani and Abu Masud al-Ansari said, "This is exactly how we heard it from the lips of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

Muslim narrated the hadith of Abu Khalid Ahmar, from Abu Malik, from Rubai, from Huzaifa, "I overlook the case of the one in hardship." He said Uqbah bin Amir, but this is a mistake on the part of Abu Khalid. The companions of Abu Malik narrated it from him, and they were followed by Naeem bin Abu Hind, Abdul-Malik bin Umayr, Mansur, and others, from Rubai, from Huzaifa, and he said, Uqbah bin Amr, Abu Masud.
The Haafiz, may Allah have mercy on him, said in the introduction, p. 378, after mentioning the words of Daraqutni,I say, this is a weak objection, for Ibn Zubayr was a companion. So suppose he transmitted it as a mursal report, what of it? How many mursal reports of companions are found in the Sahih! The scholars have unanimously agreed on accepting such reports, except for a few who came later than them and dissented, and their disagreement carries no weight. And Allah knows best.
