Muslim reported, on the authority of Ibn Abbad, from Darawardi, from Humayd, from Anas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said, "If Allah does not make it bear fruit, by what right does he consume his brother's property?"He said, This is a mistake that Ibn Abbad made regarding Darawardi when he heard it from him, because Ibrahim bin Hamza narrated it from Darawardi, from Humayd, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, forbade selling fruit before it ripens. We asked Anas, "What does ripen mean?" He said, "It means turning red." He said, "What do you think, if Allah withholds the fruit, by what right does he consume his brother's property?" This is the correct version.As for Ibn Abbad, he dropped the Prophet's own words and instead brought Anas's words, attributing them to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. This is a serious error. And Allah knows best.

I say, it is possible that Muslim, may Allah have mercy on him, mentioned this raised (marfu) route in order to point out its defect. It is also possible that he mentioned this raised route believing in the soundness of its being raised, based on indications that appeared clear to him. But what settles firmly in the mind is that it is stopped (mawquf).
