The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sales of muzabanah and muhaqalah. Muzabanah is selling the fruit of date palms for dried dates, and muhaqalah is selling standing crops for wheat and renting out land for wheat.He said, Salim bin Abdullah informed me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said, "Do not buy fruit until its ripeness becomes apparent, and do not buy fresh fruit for dried dates."Salim said, Abdullah informed me from Zayd bin Thabit from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he later granted a concession permitting the sale of araya for fresh dates or dried dates, but did not permit anything else.
و حدثني محمد بن رافع حدثنا حجين بن المثنى حدثنا الليث عن عقيل عن ابن شهاب
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن بيع المزابنة والمحاقلة والمزابنة أن يباع ثمر النخل بالتمر والمحاقلة أن يباع الزرع بالقمح واستكراء الأرض بالقمح قال وأخبرني سالم بن عبد الله عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال لا تبتاعوا الثمر حتى يبدو صلاحه ولا تبتاعوا الثمر بالتمر و قال سالم أخبرني عبد الله عن زيد بن ثابت عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه رخص بعد ذلك في بيع العرية بالرطب أو بالتمر ولم يرخص في غير ذلك
