Hasan said, "We were visiting Maqil bin Yasar during his illness when Ubaydullah bin Ziyad came in. Maqil said to him, 'I am going to narrate to you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'"He then mentioned it with the same meaning as their hadith.
و حدثني القاسم بن زكرياء حدثنا حسين يعني الجعفي عن زائدة
قال الحسن كنا عند معقل بن يسار نعوده فجاء عبيد الله بن زياد فقال له معقل إني سأحدثك حديثا سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ ثم ذكر بمعنى حديثهما
