When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Salama and went in to her, he intended to leave, but she took hold of his garment.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you wish, I will stay longer with you, but I will count it against you. For a virgin it is seven nights, and for a previously married woman it is three."
