Anas bin Malik reported,

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw the pebbles at the Jamrah, slaughtered his sacrificial animal, and was ready to be shaved, he offered the right side of his head to the barber, who shaved it. He then called Abu Talha al-Ansari and gave the hair to him. Next, he offered the left side and said, "Shave it." The barber shaved it, and the Prophet handed that hair also to Abu Talha, saying, "Distribute it among the people."
