The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed tawaf around the Kabah during the Farewell Pilgrimage while mounted on his riding camel, touching the Black Stone with his curved staff so that the people could see him, so that he would be in a prominent position, and so that they could ask him questions, for the people had crowded around him.
