Abdullah bin Umar reported,

He reported that whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Mecca, he would stop at Dhu Tuwa and spend the night there until he prayed the dawn prayer. The place where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed his prayer was on a rugged hillock, not at the spot where the mosque was later built, but lower down, on a rugged hillock.
