Wabra reported,

A man asked Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهم, "Should I perform tawaf around the House when I have entered ihram for Hajj?"Ibn Umar replied, "What is preventing you?"The man said, "I saw the son of so-and-so disliking it, and you are dearer to us than him. We see that worldly life has tempted him."Ibn Umar responded, "Which of us, or which of you, has not been tempted by worldly life?" Then he said, "We saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ enter ihram for Hajj, perform tawaf around the House, and walk between Safa and Marwa. The Sunnah of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ are more deserving to be followed than the practice of so-and-so, if you are truthful."
