We set out with the Prophet ﷺ in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage. I entered the state of ihram for umrah, as I had not brought a sacrificial animal with me. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever has brought a sacrificial animal should enter ihram for hajj together with his umrah, then he should not exit ihram until he completes both."She said, "Then I began menstruating. When the night of Arafah arrived, I said, 'Messenger of Allah, I had entered ihram for umrah. What should I do about my hajj?'He replied, 'Undo your hair, comb it, suspend the umrah, and enter ihram for hajj.'"She continued, "When I had completed my hajj, he instructed Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr to take me on his mount behind him, and he had me perform umrah from al-Tanim in place of the umrah I had suspended."
و حدثنا عبد بن حميد أخبرنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن عروة
خرجنا مع النبي ﷺ عام حجة الوداع فأهللت بعمرة ولم أكن سقت الهدي فقال النبي ﷺ من كان معه هدي فليهلل بالحج مع عمرته ثم لا يحل حتى يحل منهما جميعا قالت فحضت فلما دخلت ليلة عرفة قلت يا رسول الله إني كنت أهللت بعمرة فكيف أصنع بحجتي قال انقضي رأسك وامتشطي وأمسكي عن العمرة وأهلي بالحج قالت فلما قضيت حجتي أمر عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر فأردفني فأعمرني من التنعيم مكان عمرتي التي أمسكت عنها
