A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was at Jiranah, and I was with the Prophet ﷺ at the time. The man was wearing a cut garment, meaning a jubbah, and was smeared with khaluq perfume.He said, "I have entered ihram for umrah while wearing this and smeared with khaluq."The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What would you have done for your hajj?"He replied, "I would take off these clothes and wash off this perfume."The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Whatever you would have done for your hajj, do it for your umrah."
و حدثنا ابن أبي عمر قال حدثنا سفيان عن عمرو عن عطاء
أتى النبي ﷺ رجل وهو بالجعرانة وأنا عند النبي ﷺ وعليه مقطعات يعني جبة وهو متضمخ بالخلوق فقال إني أحرمت بالعمرة وعلي هذا وأنا متضمخ بالخلوق فقال له النبي ﷺ ما كنت صانعا في حجك قال أنزع عني هذه الثياب وأغسل عني هذا الخلوق فقال له النبي ﷺ ما كنت صانعا في حجك فاصنعه في عمرتك
