The Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon when the people stood up before him and cried out, "Prophet of Allah, the rain has stopped, the trees have turned red, and the livestock are perishing!"He then continued the hadith, which includes in the narration of Abdul-Ala, "The clouds dispersed from Madinah and began to pour rain all around it, while not a single drop fell within Madinah itself. I looked toward Madinah and saw it encircled like a crown."
و حدثني عبد الأعلى بن حماد ومحمد بن أبي بكر المقدمي قالا حدثنا معتمر حدثنا عبيد الله عن ثابت البناني
كان النبي ﷺ يخطب يوم الجمعة فقام إليه الناس فصاحوا وقالوا يا نبي الله قحط المطر واحمر الشجر وهلكت البهائم وساق الحديث وفيه من رواية عبد الأعلى فتقشعت عن المدينة فجعلت تمطر حواليها وما تمطر بالمدينة قطرة فنظرت إلى المدينة وإنها لفي مثل الإكليل
