Muhammad bin Amr reported,

Hajjaj used to delay the prayers, so we asked Jabir bin Abdullah about it.He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray Dhuhr in the heat of midday, and Asr while the sun was still clear and bright, and Maghrib as soon as the sun had set. As for the night prayer, sometimes he delayed it and sometimes he prayed it early. When he saw that the people had gathered, he prayed it early, and when he saw that they were slow in coming, he delayed it. And the dawn prayer, they used to pray it, or he said, the Prophet ﷺ used to pray it, in the last darkness before daybreak."
