We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he looked up at the moon on a night when it was full and said, "You will see your Lord just as you see this moon. You will have no difficulty seeing Him. So if you are able to never be overcome from performing a prayer before the rising of the sun and before its setting," meaning the Asr and Fajr prayers, "then do so."Then Jareer recited, "And glorify the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting" [Ta-Ha 20:130].
و حدثنا زهير بن حرب حدثنا مروان بن معاوية الفزاري أخبرنا إسمعيل بن أبي خالد حدثنا قيس بن أبي حازم قال سمعت
ا كنا جلوسا عند رسول الله ﷺ إذ نظر إلى القمر ليلة البدر فقال أما إنكم سترون ربكم كما ترون هذا القمر لا تضامون في رؤيته فإن استطعتم أن لا تغلبوا على صلاة قبل طلوع الشمس وقبل غروبها يعني العصر والفجر ثم قرأ جرير {وسبح بحمد ربك قبل طلوع الشمس وقبل غروبها}
