A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Guide me to a deed I can perform that will bring me closer to Paradise and distance me from the Fire."He replied, "Worship Allah without associating anything with Him, establish the prayer, pay the zakat, and maintain ties with your relatives."When the man turned to leave, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If he holds fast to what he has been commanded, he will enter Paradise."In Ibn Abu Shayba's narration, the wording is, "If he holds fast to it."
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى التميمي أخبرنا أبو الأحوص ح و حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أبي إسحق عن موسى بن طلحة
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال دلني على عمل أعمله يدنيني من الجنة ويباعدني من النار قال تعبد الله لا تشرك به شيئا وتقيم الصلاة وتؤتي الزكاة وتصل ذا رحمك فلما أدبر قال رسول الله ﷺ إن تمسك بما أمر به دخل الجنة وفي رواية ابن أبي شيبة إن تمسك به
