He presented the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a wild donkey while he was at Abwa, or at Waddan, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned it to him. Then, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw the look on my face, he said, "We have only returned it to you because we are in a state of consecration."
حدثني يحيى عن مالك عن ابن شهاب عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة بن مسعود عن عبد الله بن عباس
أنه أهدى لرسول الله ﷺ حمارا وحشيا وهو بالأبواء أو بودان فرده عليه رسول الله ﷺ فلما رأى رسول الله ﷺ ما في وجهي قال إنا لم نرده عليك إلا أنا حرم
