Abu Hurairah reported that he was returning from Bahrain, and when he reached Rabadhah he came upon a party of riders from Iraq who were in a state of ihram. They asked him about the meat of game they had found among the people of Rabadhah, and he told them to eat it.Abu Hurairah said, "Afterwards I had doubts about the instruction I had given them. When I arrived in Madinah I mentioned it to Umar bin Khattab."Umar asked, "What did you tell them to do?"Abu Hurairah replied, "I told them to eat it."Umar bin Khattab said, "Had you told them anything else, I would have dealt with you," threatening him.
و حدثني عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد أنه
عن أبي هريرة أنه أقبل من البحرين حتى إذا كان بالربذة وجد ركبا من أهل العراق محرمين فسألوه عن لحم صيد وجدوه عند أهل الربذة فأمرهم بأكله قال أبو هريرة ثم إني شككت فيما أمرتهم به فلما قدمت المدينة ذكرت ذلك لعمر بن الخطاب فقال عمر ماذا أمرتهم به فقال أمرتهم بأكله فقال عمر بن الخطاب لو أمرتهم بغير ذلك لفعلت بك يتواعده
