Whoever performs the lesser pilgrimage during the months of Hajj, in Shawwal, Dhul-Qaidah, or Dhul-Hijjah before Hajj, and then remains in Makkah until Hajj comes upon him, is performing the combined pilgrimage if he then performs Hajj. He must offer whatever sacrificial animal he can afford, and if he cannot find one, then he must fast three days during the Hajj and seven after he returns.
و حدثني عن مالك عن عبد الله بن دينار
من اعتمر في أشهر الحج في شوال أو ذي القعدة أو في ذي الحجة قبل الحج ثم أقام بمكة حتى يدركه الحج فهو متمتع إن حج وعليه ما استيسر من الهدي فإن لم يجد فصيام ثلاثة أيام في الحج وسبعة إذا رجع
