Whenever Abdullah bin Umar drew near to Makkah, he would spend the night at Dhu Tuwa, between the two mountain passes, until morning came. Then he would pray the dawn prayer and enter by the pass at the upper part of Makkah. When he set out for Hajj or for Umrah, he would not enter until he had bathed before entering Makkah, bathing at Dhu Tuwa once he drew near to Makkah, and he would instruct those with him to bathe as well before they entered.

أن عبد الله بن عمر كان إذا دنا من مكة بات بذي طوى بين الثنيتين حتى يصبح ثم يصلي الصبح ثم يدخل من الثنية التي بأعلى مكة ولا يدخل إذا خرج حاجا أو معتمرا حتى يغتسل قبل أن يدخل مكة إذا دنا من مكة بذي طوى ويأمر من معه فيغتسلون قبل أن يدخلوا
