Malik reported,

Umar bin Khattab, when he was traveling during Ramadan and knew that he would enter Madinah early in the day, would enter while fasting.

أن عمر بن الخطاب كان إذا كان في سفر في رمضان، فعلم أنه داخل المدينة من أول يومه، دخل وهو صائم.
