Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The sun was eclipsed, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed and the people prayed with him. He stood for a long time, about as long as Surah Baqarah, then bowed in a long ruku, then raised his head from the ruku and stood for a long time, though shorter than the first standing. Then he bowed in a long ruku, though shorter than the first ruku, and then prostrated. Then he stood for a long time, though shorter than the first standing, then bowed in a long ruku, though shorter than the first ruku. Then he rose and stood for a long time, though shorter than the first standing, then bowed in a long ruku, though shorter than the first ruku, and then prostrated. Then he finished, and by that time the sun had become clear again. He said, "The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah. They are not eclipsed for the death of anyone or for his life. So when you see that, remember Allah."The people said, "Messenger of Allah, we saw you reach out for something where you were standing, and then we saw you draw back."He replied, "I saw Paradise, and I reached out for a cluster of its grapes. Had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world lasted. And I saw the Fire, and I have never seen a sight more dreadful than what I saw today. I saw that most of its people are women."They asked, "Why is that, Messenger of Allah?"He answered, "Because of their ingratitude."Someone asked, "Are they ungrateful to Allah?"He said, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and unthankful for kindness. If you were to treat one of them well your whole life long, and then she saw one thing from you that she disliked, she would say, 'I have never received any good from you at all.'"
