The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray on the day of Fitr and the day of Adha before the sermon. He also related to me from Malik that he had learned that Abu Bakr and Umar used to do the same.
حدثني يحيى عن مالك
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يصلي يوم الفطر ويوم الأضحى قبل الخطبة و حدثني عن مالك أنه بلغه أن أبا بكر وعمر كانا يفعلان ذلك
