The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah loves a servant, He says to Jibreel, 'I love so-and-so, so love him.' So Jibreel loves him. Then Jibreel calls out among the inhabitants of the heavens, 'Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.' So the inhabitants of the heavens love him, and then acceptance is placed for him on earth. And when Allah hates a servant..."Malik said, "I am certain he said the same thing regarding hatred."
و حدثني عن مالك عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: إذا أحب الله العبد قال لجبريل قد أحببت فلانا فأحبه فيحبه جبريل ثم ينادي في أهل السماء إن الله قد أحب فلانا فأحبوه فيحبه أهل السماء ثم يوضع له القبول في الأرض وإذا أبغض الله العبد. قال مالك: لا أحسبه إلا أنه قال في البغض مثل ذلك.
