Yahya bin Saeed reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taken on the night journey, and he saw a demon among the jinn pursuing him with a torch of fire. Every time the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned around, he saw him.Jibreel said to him, "Shall I not teach you words to say? If you say them, his torch will be extinguished and he will fall flat on his face."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Yes, do."Jibreel said, "Then say, 'I seek refuge in the noble Face of Allah and in the perfect words of Allah, which no righteous person nor wicked one can surpass, from the evil of what descends from the sky and the evil of what ascends into it, from the evil of what He has scattered across the earth and the evil of what comes out of it, from the trials of night and day, and from the visitors of the night and the day, except a visitor who comes with good, Most Merciful One.'"
