Jafar bin Abu Talib's two sons were brought in to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he asked the woman who nursed them, "Why do I see them looking so thin and frail?"She replied, "Messenger of Allah, the evil eye reaches them quickly. Nothing kept us from seeking a healing charm for them except that we did not know whether you would approve of it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seek a healing charm for them, for if anything could ever outstrip what has been decreed, it would be the evil eye."
حدثني عن مالك
دخل على رسول الله ﷺ بابني جعفر بن أبي طالب فقال لحاضنتهما ما لي أراهما ضارعين فقالت حاضنتهما يا رسول الله إنه تسرع إليهما العين ولم يمنعنا أن نسترقي لهما إلا أنا لا ندري ما يوافقك من ذلك فقال رسول الله ﷺ استرقوا لهما فإنه لو سبق شيء القدر لسبقته العين
