A man took his wife's slave girl with him on a journey and had relations with her. His wife became jealous and mentioned the matter to Umar bin Khattab, who questioned the man about it.The man said, "She gave her to me as a gift."Umar said, "You had better bring me proof, or I will have you stoned."The man's wife then admitted that she had indeed given the girl to him.

أن عمر بن الخطاب قال لرجل خرج بجارية لامرأته معه في سفر فأصابها فغارت امرأته فذكرت ذلك لعمر بن الخطاب فسأله عن ذلك فقال وهبتها لي فقال عمر لتأتيني بالبينة أو لأرمينك بالحجارة قال فاعترفت امرأته أنها وهبتها له
