Sulayman bin Yasar reported,

Thabit bin Dahhak Ansari reported that he found a stray camel in the lava plain, so he hobbled it, and then mentioned it to Umar bin Khattab. Umar instructed him to announce it publicly three times.Thabit said to him, "It is keeping me from tending to my property."Umar replied, "Then release it where you found it."
