He stopped at a place where some people were camped on the road to Syria and found a purse containing eighty dinars. He mentioned it to Umar bin Khattab, and Umar told him, "Announce it at the doors of the mosques, and mention it to everyone who comes from Syria for a year. Once the year has passed, it is yours to do with as you wish."
و حدثني مالك عن أيوب بن موسى
أنه نزل منزل قوم بطريق الشام فوجد صرة فيها ثمانون دينارا فذكرها لعمر بن الخطاب فقال له عمر عرفها على أبواب المساجد واذكرها لكل من يأتي من الشأم سنة فإذا مضت السنة فشأنك بها
