Yahya Mazini reported,

Dahhak bin Khalifa channeled a watercourse of his from Urayd, and he wanted to run it through the land of Muhammad bin Maslama, but Muhammad refused.Dahhak said to him, "Why do you refuse me? It would benefit you as well, since you could drink from it first and last, and it would do you no harm."Still Muhammad refused. So Dahhak spoke to Umar bin Khattab about it, and Umar bin Khattab summoned Muhammad bin Maslama and ordered him to let it pass through.Muhammad said, "No."Umar said, "Why do you deny your brother something that would benefit him, when it is beneficial to you too? You could water your land with it first and last, and it would do you no harm."Muhammad said, "No, by Allah."Umar said, "By Allah, it shall pass through, even if it has to run over your belly."So Umar ordered him to run it through, and Dahhak did so.
