The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said concerning the floodwater of Mahzur and Mudhaynib that it should be held back until it reaches the ankles, and then the upper land should release it to the lower.
حدثني يحيى عن مالك
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال في سيل مهزور ومذينب يمسك حتى الكعبين ثم يرسل الأعلى على الأسفل
