Either Umar bin Khattab or Uthman bin Affan gave a ruling concerning a woman who deceived a man about herself, telling him that she was free. He married her, and she bore him children. The ruling was that he must redeem his children by giving slaves equal to them in value.
أن عمر بن الخطاب، أو عثمان بن عفان قضى في امرأة غرت رجلا بنفسها، وذكرت: أنها حرة، فتزوجها، فولدت له أولادا، فقضى أن يفدي ولده بمثلهم
