Hakeem bin Hizam bought a quantity of food that Umar bin Khattab had ordered for the people, and he sold it before taking full possession of it. When word of this reached Umar bin Khattab, he annulled the sale and told him, "Do not sell food you have bought until you have taken full possession of it."

أن حكيم بن حزام ابتاع طعاما أمر به عمر بن الخطاب للناس فباع حكيم الطعام قبل أن يستوفيه فبلغ ذلك عمر بن الخطاب فرده عليه وقال لا تبع طعاما ابتعته حتى تستوفيه
