Umm Salama bint Abu Umaya reported,

Someone said to a woman who was in mourning for her husband and whose eyes were troubling her, the pain having taken its toll on her, "Apply the clarifying kohl at night, and wipe it off during the day."

حدثني عن مالك، أنه بلغه: أن

أم سلمة زوج النبي ﷺ قالت

لامرأة حاد على زوجها، اشتكت عينيها، فبلغ ذلك منها: اكتحلي بكحل الجلاء بالليل، وامسحيه بالنهار.
