Saeed bin Musayab reported,

If a man has no means to provide for his wife, the two of them are separated.Malik said, "That is how I found the people of knowledge in our land to be."

سعيد بن المسيب كان يقول

إذا لم يجد الرجل ما ينفق على امرأته، فرق بينهما. قال مالك: وعلى ذلك أدركت أهل العلم ببلدنا
