Abdullah bin Umar divorced a wife of his who was living in the dwelling of Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, and his route to the masjid ran past it. So he would take the other route, around behind the houses, because he did not want to have to ask her permission to pass, and he continued doing so until he took her back.

أن عبد الله بن عمر طلق امرأة له في مسكن حفصة زوج النبي ﷺ وكان طريقه إلى المسجد فكان يسلك الطريق الأخرى من أدبار البيوت كراهية أن يستأذن عليها حتى راجعها
