Ata bin Yasar reported,

A man of the Ansar from the tribe of Banu Haritha was tending a milk camel of his at Uhud when the animal was on the point of death, so he slaughtered it with a sharpened stake. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about this, and he said, "There is nothing wrong with it, so eat it."
