A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked, "Messenger of Allah, if I am killed in the path of Allah, steadfast and seeking reward, advancing and not retreating, will Allah forgive me my sins?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes."When the man turned to leave, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called out to him, or ordered that he be called, and he was summoned back.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "What was it you said?"The man repeated his words.The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Yes, except for debt. That is what Jibreel told me."
و حدثني عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد المقبري
جاء رجل إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن قتلت في سبيل الله صابرا محتسبا مقبلا غير مدبر أيكفر الله عني خطاياي فقال رسول الله ﷺ نعم فلما أدبر الرجل ناداه رسول الله ﷺ أو أمر به فنودي له فقال له رسول الله ﷺ كيف قلت فأعاد عليه قوله فقال له النبي ﷺ نعم إلا الدين كذلك قال لي جبريل
