The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the people, tribe by tribe, praying for them, but he passed over one of the tribes. The reason was that in the saddle blanket of one of that tribe's men they had found a necklace of onyx beads pilfered from the spoils. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to them and pronounced the takbir over them as the takbir is pronounced over the dead.
و حدثني عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد
أن رسول الله ﷺ أتى الناس في قبائلهم يدعو لهم وأنه ترك قبيلة من القبائل قال وإن القبيلة وجدوا في بردعة رجل منهم عقد جزع غلولا فأتاهم رسول الله ﷺ فكبر عليهم كما يكبر على الميت
