Sources. [Sahih] Ahmad narrated it, 4/126, 127, from the hadith of Hisham Dastawai with this wording, and Hakim graded it sahih, 1/214, as did Dhahabi. Tabarani also narrated it in Al-Kabir, 18/256, no. 639, from the hadith of Abu Bakr Ibn Abu Shayba, similarly.Shayban the grammarian narrated it from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Muhammad bin Ibrahim, from Khalid bin Madan, that Jubayr bin Nufayr told him that he heard Irbad bin Sariya... and so on. Tabarani and others narrated it as well.Muhammad bin Ibrahim was corroborated by Buhayr bin Saad, as recorded by Ahmad, 4/128, and Nasai, 2/92, 93, no. 818, and with this the hadith is confirmed as sahih.
