He used to put forward the young men of his people to lead them in prayer. He was asked, "You do this, even though you hold such seniority?"He replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The imam is responsible. If he leads well, the reward is for him and for them, and if he leads poorly, the burden is on him and not on them.'"
