The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are three whose prayer is not accepted. A man who leads people in prayer while they dislike him, a man who does not come to prayer except late, meaning after its time has passed, and one who enslaves a freed person."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان وجعفر بن عون عن الإفريقي عن عمران
قال رسول الله ﷺ ثلاثة لا تقبل لهم صلاة الرجل يؤم القوم وهم له كارهون والرجل لا يأتي الصلاة إلا دبارا يعني بعد ما يفوته الوقت ومن اعتبد محررا

[Its isnad is daif] Abu Dawud transmitted it in the chapter on prayer, section, "A man leading people in prayer while they dislike him," no. 593, from the hadith of Abdul-Rahman Afriqi, through this route. Afriqi was mentioned earlier at no. 54, and his teacher, Imran Maafiri, is daif (Taqrib).
