The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the evening meal is served and the prayer is called, begin with the meal."Ibn Umar once ate his evening meal while he could hear the iqamah being called.
حدثنا أزهر بن مروان حدثنا عبد الوارث حدثنا أيوب عن نافع
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا وضع العشاء وأقيمت الصلاة فابدءوا بالعشاء قال فتعشى ابن عمر ليلة وهو يسمع الإقامة
