The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are two qualities which no Muslim man maintains regularly without entering Paradise. They are easy, yet few people put them into practice. He glorifies Allah ten times after every prayer, magnifies Him ten times, and praises Him ten times."I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ counting them on his hand. He continued, "That comes to one hundred and fifty on the tongue and one thousand five hundred on the scale. And when he retires to his bed, he glorifies, praises, and magnifies Allah one hundred times. That is one hundred on the tongue and a thousand on the scale. So which of you commits two thousand five hundred sins in a single day?"They asked, "How is it that a person does not maintain these regularly?"He answered, "Satan comes to one of you while he is in prayer and says, 'Remember such and such, remember such and such,' until the servant departs without realizing it. And he comes to him while he is on his bed and keeps lulling him until he falls asleep."

[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it, in the Book of Manners, chapter on saying "tasbih" before sleep, no. 5065, from the hadith of Shubah, from Ataa, with this wording. Tirmidhi said, no. 3410, "hasan sahih," and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih.
