The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for the one who does not recite in every rakah al-Hamdu lillah and a surah, whether in an obligatory prayer or otherwise."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا محمد بن الفضيل ح و حدثنا سويد بن سعيد حدثنا علي بن مسهر جميعا عن أبي سفيان السعدي عن أبي نضرة
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا صلاة لمن لم يقرأ في كل ركعة بالحمد لله وسورة في فريضة أو غيرها
[Its chain of transmission is daif]Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it in 1/361, hadith 3632, from Ibn Fudayl through this route. See hadith 520 regarding the condition of Abu Sufyan Tarif bin Shihab. Busiri said, "This chain of transmission is daif."
