Thirty companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who had fought at Badr gathered together and said, "Come, let us estimate the length of the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ recitation in the prayers in which he did not recite aloud."Not two of them disagreed. They estimated his recitation in the first rakah of Dhuhr to be the length of about thirty verses, and in the second rakah about half of that. They estimated his recitation in the Asr prayer to be half the length of the two latter rakahs of Dhuhr.
